It attaches to a magnetic dock that hangs at the side of your rectangular or slim liner rim simplehuman trash can or you can detach it for use on your kitchen counter. The soft-seal lid allows food scraps to breathe, keeping odor under control and pests away. The plastic inner bucket is removable so it's easy to dump out scraps or clean. The caddy's stainless steel surface is protected by an invisible fingerprint-resistance coating that is also infused with Agion, an EPA-registered disinfectant that inhibits the growth of bacteria, fungi, mold and mildew. A 30-pack of code Z custom fit disposable liners are included, the liners fit the caddy perfectly and can be thrown out along with your food scraps since they decompose fully.

Elegant Addition

First off, it is stunning on the counter. It deserves to be on the counter where it is most helpful. It doesn't look like a compost bin. It works well. No odors have been detected. I love it!

Great Little Guy

Don't know why I waited so long to purchase. . . I'm so satisfied. This has made composting in NYC so delightful. I don't like a lot of "stuff" in my place-so having another trash can taking up floor space for composting became annoying very quickly (I've had the prior small stainless steel compost can for over 10 yrs, but only started using it daily when composting became the law in NYC) I've attached this little guy to the front of my two-bin step-can and it's perfect. Yes, the compost caddy is not regulated only to side trash bin attachment.
